Golf With a Scenic View
Scenic views and an abundance of native wildlife are some of the highlights at this player-friendly course, just 50 minutes from downtown Steamboat Springs. The Yampa Valley Golf Course prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere, where everyone is treated like family. A team of well-trained, experienced staff work together to make the course enjoyable and affordable. The 6,600-yard course plays through and over 240 acres of cottonwoods, wetlands, native grasses and sage. Four tees make playing here perfect for all ability levels.
Hole no. 15 is guarded by the Yampa River on the right and a small creek down the left. “This hole is a short but challenging risk/reward par 5,” Harnasch said. “Tree-lined fairways and proximity to the river provide for some spectacular views of the surrounding area and native wildlife.”
